2025 UPA-A Certification
As of September 1 2025, UPA-A Certification will be required for all professional events under UPA. Professional UPA events include all PPA and MLP events for professionals, including PPA Challenger Series and PPA Pro Qualifiers.
The amateur competition will accept the UPA-A certification standards, but it is not mandatory for play as long as the paddle has USAP certification and on the USAP Approved Paddle List.

Fees:
- Annual $20,000 (per brand)
- Each paddle $2,000 (valid for 24 months)
Please Note: design or aesthetic differences do not require testing, but must be documented by filling out the Paddle Design Registration Form
