Soxter Unauthorized Use of the UPA-A Stamp

UPA-A takes its certification process, and the integrity of the UPA-A Stamp, with the utmost seriousness.

Soxter, a paddle brand based in Vietnam, submitted paddles for UPA-A Certification. Those paddles did not receive UPA-A Certification. Despite this, UPA-A has identified multiple violations involving non-certified Soxter paddles being sold in the marketplace, primarily in Vietnam, bearing or implying UPA-A certification status.

To be clear: these paddles are not UPA-A Certified. They do not meet UPA-A standards and should not be sold, purchased, or used in play at either sanctioned or non-sanctioned events where compliance, fairness, and player safety matter.

Soxter has been formally notified of these violations and made fully aware of the seriousness of this matter. Until the issue has been fully resolved to the satisfaction of UPA-A, Soxter will not be eligible for UPA-A Certification.

UPA-A’s certification mark is not a marketing tool. It is a signal of verified compliance with rigorous performance and safety standards. Any misuse of that mark undermines trust in the certification process, misleads consumers, and damages the integrity of the sport.

UPA-A will continue to actively monitor the marketplace and take enforcement action where necessary to protect athletes, consumers, and the credibility of certified equipment.
